We can’t even explain how mouthwateringly delicious it tastes and smells. They will be flying off the plate in a matter of seconds!

What you need:

Bread: This vegan garlic bread recipe will work with any type of bread you like (white, whole wheat, ciabatta,…).

Vegan butter: You can use any vegan butter you can find. However, for the best flavor, we recommend using good quality butter and not margarine. It’s better to use unsalted butter because the recipe has a bit of salt in it. If your butter is already salted you can skip this ingredient.

Salt and oregano: To give it an extra special flavor.

Fresh parsley: It really elevates the flavor!  It adds a nice herbal flavor and a burst of greenery. You can also use fresh basil if you like.

Vegan cheese (optional): it gives your garlic bread an extra taste.

Ingredients:

1 French Baguette (You can use Italian bread or sourdough instead)
½ cup melted vegan butter
A jar of TOUM
1 tsp oregano
¼ tsp salt
Fresh parsley, finely minced
Vegan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400° F.

2. Cut the slices of bread into about 1-2cm thick and place them side up on a large baking sheet.

3. In a bowl, mix together the vegan butter, parsley, oregano, salt, and vegan cheese (optional) with as much of our TOUM as you wish

4. Spread the garlic butter generously over both sides of each slice

5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until crispy and golden brown.

6. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley

Storage
After the bread has cooled, store it in an airtight container or resealable bag at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or in the freezer for 3-6 months.

What is the best way to reheat it?
If you keep it in the fridge, you can reheat it or enjoy it cold. If you choose to freeze it, let it thaw in the refrigerator overnight, wrap the leftovers in aluminum foil, and then reheat at 425°F for about 10 minutes, or until the vegan butter melts.

What is the best bread to use?
We recommend using baguette, but you can also use a sourdough loaf or another bread of choice.

Can I use olive oil instead of vegan butter?
Of course you can! You can use ⅓ cup olive oil instead of the ½ cup vegan butter.
